Hankotrade Review 2026: Features, Fees, Risks & India Considerations

By Published 4 Aug 2023Updated 18 Aug 2026

Hankotrade is an online broker offering forex, CFDs, indices, commodities, and cryptocurrency-related trading products.

Its website currently advertises STP, ECN, and ECN Plus accounts, leverage of up to 1:500 on some account types, and crypto-based deposit and withdrawal methods.

However, traders should look beyond spreads and leverage before opening an account—especially residents of India.

  • Maximum leverage: 1:500

The ECN account currently lists:

The ECN Plus account currently lists:

Actual spreads, execution costs, and trading conditions can vary, so traders should verify current terms directly before funding an account.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Hankotrade currently promotes cryptocurrency deposits including BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC.

Its withdrawal policy says withdrawals may take up to 24 business hours to process and notes that withdrawals below $50 may be subject to a fee.

These are the broker’s published terms, not an independent guarantee that every withdrawal will follow the same experience.

Trading Platform

Hankotrade currently promotes its own trading ecosystem, including HankoX, and its website states that forex, indices, commodities, crypto-related instruments, and other CFDs are available.

The broker also permits trading techniques such as scalping, hedging, and automated strategies according to its FAQ.

Is Hankotrade Suitable for Indian Traders?

This is the most important part of the review.

The Reserve Bank of India states that Indian residents may undertake forex transactions only with authorised persons and for permitted purposes. Electronic forex transactions should be undertaken only through RBI-authorised ETPs or recognised exchanges such as NSE, BSE and MSE.

RBI also states that residents are not permitted to remit margin overseas under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme for online forex trading.

I did not find Hankotrade in RBI’s published list of authorised ETPs. Therefore, an Indian resident should verify the legal and regulatory position carefully before considering the platform rather than assuming that international availability makes the activity permitted in India.

Importantly, RBI also says its Alert List is not exhaustive—absence from the Alert List should not be interpreted as RBI authorisation.

Major Risks to Consider

High leverage: Leverage of 1:500 can magnify losses extremely quickly.

Counterparty risk: When using an offshore broker, consider what protections and dispute-resolution mechanisms apply to your account.

Funding risk: Crypto deposits can make transactions fast, but blockchain transfers can also be difficult or impossible to reverse.

Regulatory risk: The rules applying to traders depend on their country of residence.

CFD risk: Hankotrade itself warns that leveraged forex and CFD products can result in significant losses.

Hankotrade Pros

  • Low advertised minimum deposit
  • STP and ECN account options
  • Low advertised spreads on ECN accounts
  • Scalping and automated trading permitted
  • Crypto funding options

Hankotrade Cons

  • Very high leverage increases risk
  • Offshore-broker considerations
  • Crypto-focused funding may not suit everyone
  • Indian residents face important RBI/FEMA restrictions around online forex trading
  • Published broker claims should be independently verified before depositing funds

Final Verdict

Hankotrade offers competitive-looking account specifications, including low minimum deposits, ECN accounts and high leverage.

But these features should not be the main consideration for an Indian trader.

For Indian residents, regulatory eligibility and FEMA/RBI compliance come first. RBI’s guidance on authorised forex providers and electronic trading platforms means traders should verify whether the activity they intend to undertake is permitted before funding an offshore forex or CFD account.

For this reason, FintechEdge does not recommend choosing Hankotrade solely because of its leverage, spreads or promotional features.
